In this article it was really interesting to see how big retail chain skate shops work, like Zumiez or Tilly's. It said that their plan is to open 60 new shops in the year of 2013. Through the years of 2010-2012 they had open of 133 new stores, with the total net sales increasing. In 2010 they had total of 4.7% , 2011 7.3 %, and in 2012 11.2% of total net sales. It has showed me that opening new stores increase the net sales dramatically. With small skate shop business they well never really open 133 unless it really has the capability, but they can still open more than one shop. This comes to show that many skate shops can increase their total net sales by opening more than one shop, but it sure is not easy.

With retail chain stores like Zumiez, they have the capability to do this marketing events and promotions.
